Power Safer 1.1 |

The Power Safer 1.1 is primarily designed for TV sets and it's really quite clever in how it works.
All you do is plug the Power Safer into the wall socket then plug your TV set into the Power Safer and it does the rest. The Power Safer learns to recognise the button on your TV remote that puts your TV into standby mode. When you put your TV into standby mode using your TV remote control, the Power Safer realises what you have done and cuts all power to the TV, the same as if you had switched the TV off at the wall. When you use the remote to switch the TV back on, the Power Safer recognises this and powers up the TV. The Power Safer uses just 0.3 watts when the TV is off, much less than the energy consumed on standby by the typical TV set. A more sofisticated version of the Power Safer is also available that can control the Video, DVD player, Sound amplifier etc in the same way. For more details see the Power Safer PSX
